More info

Very beautiful "Memento Mori" crucifix with the effigy of a cross in the spirit of ossuaries, entirely hand-sculpted by our craftsmen in our workshops.
Each piece is unique, horn, bone, wood... So many materials to reveal the original character of each piece.
A unique nod to impermanence, the ephemeral and the Vanities. The expression "Memento mori" comes from the Latin phrase "remember that you are going to die", a formula from medieval Christianity. Expressing the vanity of earthly life, it refers to "the art of dying", or Ars moriendi.
It induces an ethic of detachment and asceticism.
It is close to another Latin phrase: “Sic transit gloria mundi” (“Thus passes the glory of the world”).

Its origin dates back to Greco-Roman antiquity, when a slave stood alongside a victorious general during his triumph in order to remind him of his mortal condition.
The phrase "Hominem te esse" ("You too are only a man") was also used.

This vision of the human condition has given rise to many artistic representations, such as those you can discover here.

Object of curiosity, this very beautiful decorative object to place in the place of your choice will give a striking charm which will certainly produce a crazy style in your interior.

Lovers of curiosities, connoisseurs of unique decoration, you will be seduced by this decorative object.
