Discover this beautiful reproduction of a "Idole of Bactriane". This fascinating piece, in two parts, is distinguished by its trapezoidal body adorned with a repetitive buckle decor, surmounted by a stylized head with a long and triangular nose, as well as eyes and a carefully engraved mouth.

For the little story, the idols of Bactriane, dating from the end of the third at the beginning of the second millennium BC. J.-C., are emblematic artifacts of Antiquity. Originally from the Bactriane region, today Afghanistan, these statuettes represented divine or protective figures in the religious rituals of the time. The buckle decor, typical of this period, symbolizes eternity and continuity of life.
The stylized traits of idols reflect a specific aesthetic of the region, mixing abstraction and symbolism.
