Discover this superb reproduction of an Egyptian amulet forming two fingers, dating from ancient Egypt. Republished and hand carved in sandstone by our craftsmen, this object was originally made of obsidian, basalt or steatite.
These materials were chosen for their color associated with the underground world and their durability, allowing to preserve their power for eternity.

The amulets were used as personal ornaments for the living and were placed on the mummies to protect them and help them in their journey beyond. The colour, shape and characteristics of the materials confer upon the amulet and its bearer specific powers and protections.
This amulet, in particular, was very likely intended to seal an injury, thus preventing harmful forces from entering the body.

Today, this amulet is presented on a museum-style base, transforming it into a magnificent unusual curiosity.
