Discover this magnificent reproduction of a sand stone amulet, carved by our craftmen, representing the Oudjat's eye, a protective symbol of ancient Egypt.
The origin of this symbol dates back to the Egyptian mythology: Horus, son of Isis and Osiris, fought his uncle Seth to avenge his father.
During this battle, Seth plucked an eye from Horus and cut it into pieces that he threw into the Nile.
The eye was then reconstituted, creating the Oudjat Eye.

The Oudjat eye had a magical function, linked to disease prevention and the vision of the invisible.
Used as protection against bad spell, he was often represented on sarcophagus, pectoral and used during mummifications.

Today, this amulet is presented on a museum-style base, making a magnificent Unusual Curiosity.
