If you have an irresistible desire to escape, this weekend is perhaps the opportunity to take a breath of fresh air in a little corner of nature and reconnect with simple pleasures. With two, with family or with friends, it is decided you will go picnic.

Picnic, yes, but where?

With family or friends, the picnic is generally organized in traditional places. If you are lucky enough to live on the coast, sit by the sea or in a somewhat wild spot. Rivers, lakes and mountains are also popular places that will offer you a beautiful panorama. If you live in the city, think of the municipal gardens or the parks of the Castles.

For a romantic picnic, be original! Look for unusual places like the roof of a building, a particularly magical idea at nightfall, aboard a boat or in a cabin perched in trees.

And for the lucky ones, why not in your garden? Quite simply.

What if we put the little dishes in the big ones ?

Salted muffins, tarts, wraps: prefer individual portions that are much more convenient to carry and enjoy !
Think of cherry tomatoes and vegetable sticks (carrots, fennel, cucumber, raw cauliflower flowers ...) as you accompany home-made sauce. Keep your little kebabs in pretty boxes and your salad composed in small jars with jam.

Also essential, the bread ! Buy several varieties: country bread, fougasse, cereal baguette ...

For the sweet, think of fruits sunburned ! Nectarine, apricot, fishing to fill up with vitamins. In skewers or fruit salad, accompany them with cupcakes or sweet mini muffins!

On the drink side, keep your bottles of water and the small local wine (to be consumed in moderation) in the fresh. And why not prepare in advance a good homemade lemonade or iced tea that you will transport in beautiful bottles. Think of coffee too. All these little touches will certainly make your guests happy !

How to organize a picnic ?

Before planning everything, make sure that the rain will not be the surprise guest of this long-awaited day. If the weather is fine, take out your traditional and isothermal baskets, choose from the pretty dishes with ultra-glamorous colors, a beautiful tablecloth, colorful towels and small decorative details that will give style to your lunch on the grass.

On D-Day, create a pretty staging made of bric-a-brac. Place cushions on the floor for comfort, use your baskets or small trunks to carry the material as a side table, put a large fabric between the trees like a shade sail, build a small teepee or install a hammock . You will be ready at the time of the siesta!

If your picnic takes place at night, consider taking plaids to warm you up as soon as it starts to get cooler. Put here and there small colored candlesticks or light garlands for a warm ambience.

Last thing and not least: when we picnic, we stay chic to the end: we pick up all its waste and throw everything in the trash to keep nature beautiful !
