Superb painting reproduction on canvas with aged and cracked effect, mounted on an aged wooden frame also patinated, as if this painting had been discovered while searching in an old attic, a work of art hidden out of sight and preserved preciously.

This painting represents a landscape type scene "Wedding procession on the Hardangerfjord" - Adolf Tidemand and Hans Fredrik Gude (Norwegian painters).
The original of this work was made in 1848.
Adolph Tidemand and Hans Gude were both romantic painters. The piece is a collaboration between the two artists: Gude painted the landscapes and Tidemand the characters of the wedding.
The painting offers a view of the famous Hardangerfjord in southwestern Norway.
Several small rowing boats with a church in the background.
In the first boat is the bride with her bridal crown, in the second boat is the groom tipping his hat. The wedding guests see each other in the distance in the other boats.
