This large fragment is a reproduction of Greek art dating from the 19th century.
It is one of the plates of the carved band located on the south side which surrounded the temple of Athena Niké in Athens.
She is depicted leaning forward, perhaps to untie her sandal and walk barefoot towards the altar which was to be depicted in front of her, but unfortunately lost.
Dating around 420-410 BC. AD, Acropolis Museum.
This molded sculpture was made of papier-mâché in beautiful shades of stone tones.
