This beautiful coral of the lagoons of Oceania "Stylophora Pistillata" is presented on a wooden base.
Coral is in fact an animal living in colonies of individuals, called "polyps", which are "Superorganisms".
Each polype secretes its own exoskeleton; depending on the species, this exoskeleton is hard or soft.
Our collection of corals made of synthetic material is handmade, replicating the texture of these live specimens, most of which are protected today.
This is a beautiful blue version night.
The base is made of wood with a painting patinated black satine color.
In the style of the Second Empire French (Napoléon III, late nineteenth century) and completely in the Spirit "Cabinet of Curiosities", we offer a reproduction of shells or protected exotic animals.
