Very beautiful unique piece and perfect as a rare object of decoration, this block of ammonite is a real block composed of fossils more than 100 million years old.

This block of 3.75 kg is composed of ammonites "ferns" and opal ammonites and pearlescent (Desmoceras Latidorsatum) alive at the time of the lower Cretaceous.
Presented in the style of the Second French Empire (Napoleon III, late nineteenth century) in the Spirit "Cabinet of Curiosities" on a white marble support.
This magnificent fossilized ammonite block is a true prehistoric representation.
Very beautiful decorative object and original.
